Excess weight is a problem faced by the majority of people world-wide and people go through rigorous exercises & real tough schedules to overcome this problem. There are many of us who cannot get indulged such hard & time consuming activities, hence are forced to live along with this problem & suffer on health account. The other option would be to keep trying the ever changing diet plans. One such program which has gained popularity is Milk Banana Diet.

This is a new diet program from Japan which claims to help reduce weight without getting involved in tough work-outs along with the freedom of having the meals of your choice. This diet plan is as follows:

o You start your day with bananas only in the breakfast (1 or more).
o At lunch time you can have any meal whatsoever, only desserts shall be avoided.
o You can again have a banana around 4.00 pm, if you feel so.
o At dinner, you can again have any meal of your choice barring the deserts.
o It would be more beneficial if you include milk in your lunch or dinner as having a healthier meal at lunch/dinner time will give you the desired results faster. You can also have tea or coffee in place of milk.
o Also, you are advised to have your dinner before 8.00 pm for better results and you should retire to bed before midnight.

The benefits of reducing weight through this plan are:

o You can escape from the tough exercises & work-outs.
o The plan is very easy to follow & does not require any specific equipments etc.
o You have the flexibility of having your favorite meals during lunch & dinner, as getting into any other dieting program creates a mental trauma that you will have to get away from the food of your choice.

But one of the major warnings for this program is that it's comparatively very new and the results needs to be carefully evaluated before going ahead.

The Japanese Banana Diet - Does it Really Work?

The Japanese Banana Diet was been getting a lot of press lately, some good and some bad. In this article I want to discuss the Banana diet and tell you about my personal experiences of using this diet.

The Japanese Banana Diet

The first thing that you have to realize is that this diet is not for everyone. In fact, I feel that I should go ahead and tell you up front that based on my personal experience, the effectiveness of this diet really tops out at around 15 pounds. However, if you are looking to lose weight quickly then the Japanese banana diet may be just what you need.

The first thing that you need to do is eat 2 bananas before eating breakfast. In fact, many people simply substitute bananas for their current breakfast. It is suggested that you drink either water or some form of natural fruit juice (typically apple or orange juice) while on the banana diet. Do not drink soda.

You can go ahead and eat lunch as normal, except try to stop yourself when you are about 80% satisfied. It takes a few minutes for the stomach to tell the brain it is satisfied, but traditionally if you only eat 80% of what you normally eat at lunch time you will be fine according to the diet.

When dinner time comes, you must eat 2 bananas right before dinner. These 2 bananas will contain a combined estimated 180-200 calories, which means you will not be as hungry at dinner. You can follow up your bananas with some form of rice, as this is popular in Japan.

The Japanese banana diet is really all about portion control. If you can learn to eat 3-5 bananas per day before meals, and also eat smaller meals then you are on the fast track to weight loss.

The Japanese Banana diet works well, but honestly it is not what helped me lose over 60 pounds safely in just a few months. Do you want to see what did help me lose all that weight?
